Top ‘Teer recognized Avalon Salon and Day Spa as a leader in employee volunteering because of its on-going commitment to making people feel better about themselves while making the community they live in a better place.

Business of the Year Award, Lake Zurich Area Chamber of Commerce
Senator Dan Duffy presented Avalon Salon and Day Spa the Lake Zurich Area Chamber of Commerce 2010 Business of the Year Award at the chamber’s Evening of Excellence. Bonnie Conte and Shyla Samel-Kurnick accepted the award on behalf of Avalon. This annual chamber award “honors a Lake Zurich Area Chamber of Commerce business or organization that has made a positive impact on the Lake Zurich area during the last 12 months by demonstrating:
- support and involvement in the chamber
- an ongoing commitment to quality products and service
- business growth
- innovation
- involvement in, or support of community
- philanthropy
- significant improvement to facility
- support of employees
- other special recognition either within the community or field of business.” Bonnie Conte, Chief Inspirational Officer of Avalon said, “What an honor to be compared to a bank, a library and a hospital. this award doesn’t mean anything, it means everything.”
